At the January 2024 monthly board meeting, the I.L.W.P. Board accepted a proposal from Dr. Jones of Restorative Lake Sciences (RLS) to complete a Shoreline Erosion Survey at a cost of $25,000. Dr. Jones is very familiar with Indian Lake having completed a lake restoration study addressing aquatic vegetation in 2022 and completed in 2024. Dr. Jones completed the report in September 2024.
The survey identifies specific areas of concerns, determines cost-effective mitigation recommendations, and provides cost estimates to stabilize the shoreline. The ILWP Board is sharing this data with ODNR and our partners in the State Legislature to seek funding to address the erosion. Please take a moment to review the complete report.
